The Society for Orthodox Tae Kwon-Do of Puerto Rico was founded in 2010, with the vision of
expanding the line of Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa to Puerto Rico. Master Ricardo Siracusa
(VIII) from Argentina is reponsible of passing down correctly Tae Kwon-Do techniques and
philosophy to the leadership of the organization.
Master Ricardo Syracuse began martial arts in 1968 from one of the introducers of HAP-KI-DO,
the Master Sun Il Lee, in 1973 began the practice of Taekwon-do and in 1978 obtained his
degree of black belt 1st Dan.
In 1980 he began instructing classes and in 1981 inaugurated its first Institute located in the
Avenida triumvirate 4575 in Villa Urquiza, serving in the 2011 already 31 years of continuous
education. In 1983 he was promoted by General. CHOI HONG HI to 4th Dan (Instructor
international), one of the first in Argentina to obtain this important promotion. The same year
he received diploma of Arbitrator international class A. Since that date he has advanced in his
career as an Instructor, as well as permanently collaborating in the Organization of the
Taekwon-do being convened in different opportunities to occupy positions at the national
